xAI’s Grok 4.7 arrives on Amazon Bedrock with 500K context and configurable effort

On 28 September 2026 Amazon announced that xAI’s Grok 4.7 is available on Bedrock: a 500K-token context window, four reasoning-effort levels (low, medium, high, xhigh), image input, and Geo and Global inference profiles. AWS frames it for coding, long-running agents and knowledge work, via Responses, Chat Completions and Converse APIs.

OpenAI and Amazon launch Bedrock Managed Agents that stay inside AWS

At DevDay 2026 (29 September) OpenAI and Amazon unveiled Bedrock Managed Agents in limited preview: agents built on OpenAI’s Agents API that run inference, memory and skills inside the customer’s AWS environment so data never leaves Amazon’s cloud. The Next Web cites Salesforce as a reference customer.
