UK FCA reviews frontier AI impact on cyber and governance for SME financial firms
Published 2 September 2026, the FCA’s multi-firm review “Frontier AI and cyber resilience” finds that for SME financial firms the main challenge is not model capability but organisational readiness—harness engineering, a vulnerability wave, and resilience basics—following the May joint statement with the Bank of England and HM Treasury.
