Markey proposes a federal Board of Investigations for AI-agent cyberattacks
Senator Ed Markey (D-Mass.) introduced a bill to create the Cybersecurity and AI Board of Investigations, an independent five-member body with subpoena power to review agent-led hacks affecting federal systems or critical infrastructure. CyberScoop notes that today OpenAI, Anthropic and peers largely control investigation and public narrative of those incidents.
