On 22 September 2026 Anthropic released Claude Opus 5.5, the first model in the 5.5 family: near Claude Fable 5.1 level on most work, about 20% lower per-token pricing than Opus 5 and roughly 40% lower typical workload cost, with the same cyber, bio and model-design safeguards.
Meta launched Muse Spark 1.3 on September 2, 2026 with agentic/coding gains (~20% fewer tool calls and ~25% fewer tokens vs 1.2). On September 2, 2026, Elon Musk estimated Grok 4.7 in about 10 days (~September 12). On September 11 he announced a delay (“a few more days”): RL may have penalized response length too aggressively and the model shows weak self-checking. Grok 4.6 remains current; no new fixed date.
