China issues the world’s first medical-device standard for AI-powered BCIs processing EEG
China’s NMPA issued YY/T 2029—2026 on quality and evaluation of EEG datasets used by AI algorithms in brain-computer interfaces; it takes effect 1 September 2027 and sets annotation, storage and access requirements.
