Clay Millennium Prize Problems: the map of the open

Since 2000, the Clay Mathematics Institute lists seven problems; Navier–Stokes existence and smoothness is one, with a one-million-dollar prize.

Clay Millennium Prize Problems: the map of the open

In 2000, the Clay Mathematics Institute announced seven Millennium Prize Problems, each with a one-million-dollar prize. They include Riemann, P vs NP, Yang–Mills, and Navier–Stokes existence and smoothness.

The official Navier–Stokes statement offers variants (A/B toward regularity; C/D toward singularity) for 3D incompressible fluids.

No media announcement automatically awards the prize: Clay requires verification and its own process. As of now, Navier–Stokes prize status remains subject to community review.
